Mixed media on wood. 60 × 48,5 cm (23 ⅝ × 19 ⅛ in.). Signed and dated lower left (incised): SCHALL 1927. Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. At the left edge above the centre, a short tear in the wood (approx. 2 cm). In places, sporadic surface abrasions. In the pastose areas, mainly in the white, fine craquelure with isolated slight color chipping. In the lower image area left of the centre, a few small scratches and minuscule holes in the wood. The surface, overall, slightly dusty and slightly cracked due to the backing material. Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs. A formerly applied strip of paper detached
