Watercolour on Schoellershammer paper. 49,7 × 64,3 cm (19 ⅝ × 25 ⅜ in.). Signed, inscribed and dated in pencil lower right: Qu Febr. 1954. Signed, titled, dated differently and inscribed: Querner Kinderkarneval im Erzgeb. 1957 Aquarell. Catalogue raisonné: Schmidt B 424. Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The sheet edges without tears or losses. The paper slighty wavy due to the artist's technique and, in a few places, with minuscule irregularities in the paint application inherent to the technique. The lower right corner slightly bumped and, at the upper edge on the right, the upper paper layer partially very lightly torn. On the reverse, mainly the margins with traces from the artist's workshop. At corners, remnants of several old mountings with brown paper tape. In the upper corners mounted with paper adhesive strips onto the support cardboard
