Information

Bronze with red-brown patina. Height: 56 cm (22 in.). Monogrammed (joined) on the base behind her right foot: GK. There, also, at the short side of the base, the foundry mark: H.NOACK BERLIN FRIEDENAU. Catalogue raisonné: Berger 39. – Accompanied by a certificate (in copy) by Dr. Ursel Berger, Georg-Kolbe-Museum, Berlin, dated 21 January 2011. From the edition of 8 lifetime casts made between 1922 and 1925 at Hermann Noack, Berlin-Friedenau, for Galerie Paul Cassirer, Berlin (the intended edition of 12 copies was probably not executed after Kolbe's change of style in the mid 1920s). Since the original plaster was not preserved, further casts are not possible..
