Information

India ink, washed, on buff-coloured paper. 34,5 × 47,1 cm (13 ⅝ × 18 ½ in.). Monogrammed below the motif on the right: CK.

Condition Report: Harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges slightly scuffed and dusty, otherwise without losses. At the upper edge, pencil marks from cutting of the sheet; on the right two minuscule tears (each 0,5 cm). The paper in the mat window with uneven minor time staining and, along the margins, the upper paper layer in paces with abrasions, probably due to former adhesive mounting. Above the figure's stomach area, one hairline crease mark (1,7 cm) and, left of centre of the upper edge, one vertical crease mark (2,5 cm); also there right of centre, one brownish liquid adhesive stain. Recto in the upper corners, small rests of yellowed adhesive tape; also there, on the reverse, white remnants of paper adhesive strips and pinpoint thinnings from former mountings
