Mahogany, partially solid, veneered with maple inlays; brass feet with rollers; textile renewed. 105 x 71 x 75 cm (41 ⅜ x 28 x 29 ½ in.). On the backrest a dedication on a silvered plaque: IHREM VEREHRTEN MEISTER 1833 / LOEWENSTEIN / KASELOWSKI / MOSER / POHLKE / WAGNER. Newly upholstered with horsehair.

The chair will be included in the new edition of Dr. Achim Stiegel's book "Berliner Möbelkunst vom Ende des 18. bis zur Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts", Munich 2003.

1833 as gift to Wilhelm Hensel (1794-1861), Berlin / after 1861 his son Sebastian Hensel (1830-1898) / to his son Paul Hensel (1860-1930), Erlangen / to his daughter Cécile Lowenthal-Hensel (1923-2012) / private collection, Brandenburg
