Sketchbook with drawings in pencil on 49 sheets of paper, of which 23 sheets are under mats, bound together in a hand-made album of gold-embossed calfskin. Sketchbook: 10,8 x 17,5 cm (4 ¼ x 6 ⅞ in.). Most drawings are titled, two are also signed and dated respectively, three are monogrammed. Slight foxing throughout, some also with pale water stains, the bound drawings slightly undulating.

The album "F. W. Kloß. Handzeichnungen von Berlin und Umgebung, um 1860“ (dimensions: 30,3 x 25 cm) contains 44 drawings, the motifs including among others scenes of Pankow, Schönhauser Allee, Tegel and the view from Choriner Straße towards the castle dome. The sketchbook with 34 drawings in pencil, one of which is with watercolour, contains motifs from Swinemünde, Stettin and from the Altmark. The sheets titled "Composition“ are probably only partly based on actual topography, and likely include imagined elements..
