Watercolour over pen and black ink on wove paper. 33,8 × 22,8 cm (13 ¼ × 9 in.). Inscribed, monogrammed (joined) and dated in pencil lower right: (Giovannina) CM, Roma 3. Decb. 1866. On the reverse lower left with a confirmation in black pen by Dr. August Klipstein, then-employee of the F. A. C. Prestel Gallery in Frankfurt a.M: Dieses Blatt stammt aus dem Nachlasse u. von den Erben des Malers Venus, Dresden. Dr. Klipstein ["this sheet comes from the estate and from the heirs of the painter Venus, Dresden. Dr Klipstein"][stamp in black:] f. F. A. C. PRESTEL. Colour tests in upper right corner.
