Pencil, partially washed, with watercolour (a small number of works), coloured pencil and pen and black ink on 43 sheet of paper. Sketchbook: 16 × 22,5 cm (6 ¼ × 8 ⅞ in.). On the back endpaper lower right the stamp in red: Nachlass Friedrich Preller. 3 sheets signed or monogrammed, 5 sheets dated, 4 sheets inscribed, among others with colour information, one with the name of the place „Teufelsbrücke“. Catalogue raisonné: The sketchbook will be included in the catalogue raisonné ogf the works of Friedrich Preller the Elder by Uwe Steinbrück, Jena (in preparation). One sheet loose, one torn. Some pages slightly stained. The green original cotton cover with handling marks, in places clearly visible.
