Watercolour, partially with opaque white, and pen and India ink on laid paper, mounted on cardboard by the artist. 30,5 × 45,8 cm (approx. 45,5 × 60 cm) (12 × 18 in. (approx. 17 ⅞ × 23 ⅝ in.)). Signed upper right: Klee. On the cardboard below the image dated, inscribed and titled: 1927 X. 7 Burg auf dem Riff. Under the left corner of the image inscribed in pencil: VI. On the reverse of the cardboard a label of the Alfred Flechtheim Galleries, Berlin and Düsseldorf. Catalogue raisonné: Paul-Klee-Stiftung 4451.
