Etching, drypoint, emery and soft ground etching, reworked by the artist with brush and India ink and pencil, on light cardboard. 40,5 × 40,8 cm (43,1 × 42,9 cm) (16 × 16 ⅛ in. (17 × 16 ⅞ in.)). Signed lower left (within the image). Collector's mark Lugt 565b in the lower margin. Also inscribed in pencil (initially etched): Gehöht. Kinderkörper u. Frauenkopf vorher Musselin gewischt 7 Sievers 113 IX. Zustand. Catalogue raisonné: Von dem Knesebeck 108 between VII. and VIII. (from XV. b.).
