On the reverse with pen and black India ink titled and signed: Dem Tempelhüter A. Jawlensky. There presumably by the artist dated in pencil: 1921. Catalogue raisonné: Jawlensky 1153. Accompanied by a certificate by Maria Jawlensky, Lucia Pieroni-Jawlensky and Angelica Jawlensky-Bianconi, Alexej from the Jawlensky-archive SA, Locarno, dated 30 July 2001.
