Information

India ink, washed, on white-primed cardboard. 48,9 × 61,8 cm (19 ¼ × 24 ⅜ in.). Dated and signed at lower edge: 24.X.53 Sonderborg. Marked with directional arrow and inscribed, signed, dated and inscribed in blue ballpoint ink on the reverse: OBEN K.R.H. Sonderborg 24.X.53. 49 x 62 cm chin. Tusche. There, also a label of Kestner-Gesellschaft, Hanover, with the inscribed catalogue number: 63, and remnants of imprinted tape from Kölner Kunstverein.

Condition Report: Very fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The sheet edges with a few minor scuff marks, otherwise without tears or losses. In the upper right corner, one small yellowish residue, probably from adhesive mounting. On the reverse, in places slight scuff marks. At corners as well as at centre of the upper edge, rests of brown tape and residues of various other adhesive and paper mountings
