Information

Egg tempera and India ink over lithograph on light photo cardboard. 51,7 × 67,2 cm (20 ⅜ × 26 ½ in.). Signed and dated in pencil lower richt: Sonderborg 55. Marked with directional arrow, inscribed, signed, dated and inscribed in blue ballpoint ink on the reverse: OBEN 52 x 67 cm Sonderborg 29.8.55. 20.31-21.06h. There, also a label of Kestner-Gesellschaft, Hanover, with the inscribed catalogue number: 76, and remnants of imprinted tape from Kölner Kunstverein.

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The sheet edges and corners with isolated minor nicks, otherwise without tears or losses. The lower right corner lightly bumped with accompanying fine creases (up to 7 cm). At the centre of the lower edge, two minuscule yellowish stains. Isolated, slight differences in surface shine of the paint application due to technique and material. Each corner with a minuscule mounting hole. On the reverse, in places traces from the artist's workshop. In the upper corners, remnants of brown tape and other paper mountings
