Vintage or early gelatin silver print. 25,2 × 20,1 cm (9 ⅞ × 7 ⅞ in.). At upper black margin exposed onto the negative: "1880. 8 VOGUE". Photographer's stamp on the reverse: "PHOTOGRAPH BY EDWARD STEICHEN" and twice the stamp: "Printed from the original negative". Dated and numbered in pencil by Edward Steichen, inscribed and numbered in pencil and red crayon by further hands.
