Im Bild unten mittig von Peter Beard mit schwarzer Tinte signiert, betitelt und bezeichnet: „Moite Bay, Lake Rudolf; hatching crocs / Peter Beard BOX 47616 NBI“ sowie im oberen Bildrand bezeichnet: „’So soon as the young ones are hatched they fall instantly into the water; but if they meet with a frog, snail or any other such thing fit for their meat, they do presently tear it to pieces.‘ (Boreham) from Eyelids of Morning, the mingled Destinies of crocodyles + men“.
