Oil on canvas. 65 x 50 cm (25 ⅝ x 19 ⅝ in.). Monogrammed (joined) and dated lower left: HMP 1917. Titled on the reverse with brush in black: Segelndes Kanu (Palau). On the upper stretcher bar a label, inscribed in pen and brown ink: No. 31 Segelndes Kanu [...] Gurlitt. Catalogue raisonné: Soika 1917/60. The Brücke Museum Berlin holds a pen and India ink drawing with watercolour which is related to this painting: „Auslegerboot“, 1914 (19,5 x 13,5 cm). Framed
