Information

Coloured chalk over brush in black on light cardboard (postcard). 14 × 8,9 cm (5 ½ × 3 ½ in.). On the reverse a message from Max Pechstein, Otto Mueller, Erich Heckel and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner to Maschka Mueller. There, too, the stamp of the National-Galerie, Berlin (Lugt 1969a).

We would like to thank Andreas Hüneke, Potsdam, and Sven Haase, Zentralarchiv of the Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin, for kindly providing additional information regarding the provenance..
