Pencil on wove paper (watermark: J[osef] S[iegfried] 1796). 20,7 × 23,7 cm. (8 ⅛ × 9 ⅜ in.) Dated in the lower centre: den 20 t Sept. 1800. Recto and verso on the upper right hardly ledgible page numbering by another hand in pencil: 15 resp. 16. On the reverse at the lower right with the collector's mark Lugt 1306 b (in black): H F [in a circle]. Catalogue raisonné: Grummt 229. Upper part of a sheet from the so-called large Mannheimer sketchbook. On the reverse an only faintly visible study of a tree in pencil.  [3096] Framed
