The 2026 Selected Works Winter Auction brings together a curated selection of outstanding works of international art from the 19th century to the present day and impresses with its diversity, quality and provenance. Among the earliest works is a nuanced portrait by August Renoir from 1866. Works of museum quality include pieces by Marianne Werefkin, Alexej Jawlensky, Ernst Barlach and František Kupka, amongst others.
Highlights of Contemporary Art include an exceptionally rare ‘Anthropométrie Suaire’ by Yves Klein, a painting by Gerhard Richter from the Wulf Herzogenrath Collection, as well as a monumental sculpture by Bernar Venet and a rare film still by Cindy Sherman. The selection is complemented by significant works by Lucio Fontana, Per Kirkeby, Maurizio Cattelan, Andy Warhol and Günther Uecker, which offer a multifaceted panorama of artistic positions and trends.
