Breccia paonazzo (elephant hide), Carrara marble (tusks), Diaspro rosso di Sicilia (animal tongues), Diaspro verde di Corsica (foliage), Diaspro verde di Sicilia (?) (deer antlers), lapis-lazuli (dog's collar), Marmo bianco e nero (doves), Pavonazetto (?) (bloodhound), Tigrato d’Arno (fur of the leopard being attacked), Alabastro fiorito (deer's fur), Alabastro a pecorella (fur of the individual bears), Alabastro di Volterra (fur of the goat and of the fighting bears), Alberese (platform), ruins-marble (tree trunk), as well as Belgian touchstone, so-called Paragone (background). Backing plate: slate. 25,5 × 17,6 cm / 11,4 × 15,6 cm (10 × 6 7/8 in. / 4 1/2 × 6 1/8 in.).
