Relief ceramic, painted and glazed. 21 × 26,5 × 1,5 cm (8 ¼ × 10 ⅜ ×  ⅝ in.). On the reverse lower right with brush in grey signed: Nolde. One of 12 copies in varying colour combinations. In these colours unique work.

We would like to thank Dr. Astrid Becker, Stiftung Seebüll Ada und Emil Nolde, for kindly providing additional information. Four ceramics are in museums: in the Sprengel Museum, Hanover, in Schloss Gottorf, Schleswig, in the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg, Halle and in the Landesmuseum, Oldenburg.
